Terms and conditions

Africa Løvehjerte Safari

Welcome to Africa Løvehjerte Safari. These Terms and Conditions govern bookings, payments, and participation in safari tours and related travel services arranged by our company. By confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.

Please read them carefully before making a reservation or payment.

1. Bookings and reservations

1.1. Safari enquiries may be submitted through our website, WhatsApp, or other official communication channels.

1.2. A booking enquiry does not constitute a confirmed reservation. Our team will discuss your preferred travel dates, itinerary, number of travelers, accommodation arrangements, and package price.

1.3. A booking is considered confirmed only after the company has accepted the booking, verified the required payment, and communicated confirmation to the customer.

1.4. Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, including names, travel dates, passport details where required, and the number of travelers.

1.5. Special requests, including accommodation preferences and dietary requirements, should be communicated before the trip. Such requests are subject to availability and confirmation.

2. Prices and package inclusions

2.1. Safari prices will be communicated to customers before they confirm their booking.

2.2. Package prices may depend on travel dates, group size, accommodation category, availability, park fees, and other relevant arrangements.

2.3. Customers should review the itinerary and written quotation carefully to understand what is included and excluded.

2.4. Unless expressly stated in the confirmed itinerary or quotation, international flights from Europe to Africa and flights between Amboseli National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve are not included.

2.5. Airport transfers, accommodation, meals, game drives, park fees, guide services, and other services are included only to the extent specified in the confirmed package.

2.6. Optional activities, personal expenses, travel insurance, visa fees, tips, and other additional costs are the customer’s responsibility unless expressly included in the agreed package.

2.7. Any changes to the agreed package price must be communicated to the customer for confirmation before additional charges are applied, except where applicable law permits otherwise.

3. Payment terms

3.1. Full payment must be completed before the customer travels to Africa, in accordance with the payment arrangements confirmed by the company.

3.2. Customers must obtain the final price and official payment instructions from our team before transferring funds.

3.3. Payments may be made through the bank transfer methods communicated by the company. Customers should verify the beneficiary name, account number, currency, and applicable bank transfer details before making payment.

3.4. Customers are responsible for checking whether their bank charges transfer fees or currency conversion costs. Such charges should be clarified before payment.

3.5. Customers must send a payment receipt or transaction confirmation to our team for verification.

3.6. A payment receipt alone does not constitute confirmation that funds have been received. The company will confirm payment after verification.

3.7. Customers should not transfer funds to an alternative account based solely on an unsolicited message. Any change in payment instructions should be independently verified through the company’s established communication channel.

4. Cancellations and refunds

4.1. Customers who wish to cancel or change a booking must contact our team in writing as soon as possible.

4.2. Cancellation charges and refund eligibility depend on the confirmed booking terms, the timing of the cancellation, and the cancellation policies of accommodation providers, transport operators, airlines, and other suppliers.

4.3. Any applicable cancellation fees and non-refundable supplier charges must be disclosed to the customer before the booking is confirmed, to the extent required by law.

4.4. Where a refund is due, the company will explain the refund process and expected timeframe. Refunds may be subject to bank processing times.

4.5. Customers should not assume that all payments are refundable. The applicable cancellation and refund conditions should be confirmed in writing before payment.

4.6. If the company cancels a confirmed safari, it will inform affected customers and explain the available options, including any refund or alternative arrangements required under the booking agreement and applicable law.

5. Changes to itineraries

5.1. Safari itineraries are planned according to the agreed package, travel dates, and available services.

5.2. Changes may become necessary because of weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, park restrictions, accommodation availability, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond the company’s reasonable control.

5.3. Where reasonably possible, the company will inform customers of significant changes and discuss suitable alternatives.

5.4. No specific wildlife sighting, including the Great Wildebeest Migration or sightings of the Big Five, can be guaranteed.

5.5. Any material changes affecting the price or essential features of a confirmed package will be handled in accordance with the booking agreement and applicable law.

6. Travel documents and responsibilities

6.1. Customers are responsible for ensuring that they hold valid passports, visas, permits, vaccinations, and other documents required for their journey.

6.2. Customers should check entry requirements for Kenya and any other country included in their travel arrangements before departure.

6.3. Customers must arrive at agreed meeting points and departure locations on time.

6.4. Customers must provide accurate information about any dietary requirements, physical accessibility needs, medical considerations relevant to safe participation, or other special requirements.

6.5. Customers are encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, baggage, and other relevant travel risks.

6.6. Customers must follow reasonable safety instructions given by safari guides, drivers, accommodation staff, and authorized park personnel.

7. Wildlife and safari safety

7.1. Safari activities take place in natural environments where wildlife behavior, weather, and road conditions can be unpredictable.

7.2. Customers must maintain a safe distance from wildlife, remain in designated areas, and follow their guide’s instructions.

7.3. Customers must not leave safari vehicles or approach wild animals unless expressly permitted by an authorized guide in a safe and lawful setting.

7.4. The company reserves the right to modify or suspend an activity where reasonably necessary to protect the safety of customers, staff, wildlife, or other persons.

8. Health, dietary and accessibility requirements

8.1. Customers should notify the company of relevant dietary requirements, mobility limitations, accessibility needs, or other arrangements required for their comfort and safety.

8.2. The company will make reasonable efforts to communicate these requirements to relevant service providers and accommodate them where possible.

8.3. Customers should discuss any concerns about the physical demands of an activity before confirming their booking.

8.4. Special arrangements are subject to the facilities and services available at the relevant destination or accommodation.

9. Accommodation, transport and third-party services

9.1. Accommodation, transport, flights, and certain activities may be provided by independent suppliers.

9.2. The company will communicate the relevant arrangements and any applicable supplier conditions as part of the booking process.

9.3. Where third-party services are included, the company will address service issues in accordance with its contractual responsibilities, the applicable supplier terms, and relevant law.

9.4. Customers must review any separate terms applicable to flights or other services booked independently.

10. Force majeure and unforeseen circumstances

10.1. The company may be affected by events beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, civil unrest, government restrictions, park closures, transport disruptions, or other exceptional circumstances.

10.2. Where such events affect a booking, the company will communicate with customers and seek reasonable alternatives where possible.

10.3. Any cancellation, rescheduling, refund, or additional-cost arrangements will be determined in accordance with the confirmed booking terms and applicable law.

11.3. The company will review complaints fairly and communicate its response within a reasonable period.

12. Privacy and personal information

12.3. The company will take reasonable steps to protect personal information and handle it in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

12.4. Customers should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information through public or unsecured communication channels.

13. Liability

13.1. The company will provide the services it has agreed to arrange with reasonable care and in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

13.2. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

13.3. Subject to applicable law, the company is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control or by services independently arranged by the customer.

13.4. Customers remain responsible for complying with safety instructions and the rules of parks, accommodation providers, transport operators, and other relevant authorities.

14. Amendments to these terms

14.1. The company may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
